Cogweave – Overview and my role

I am leading the service design and user experience efforts for cogweave, a not-for-profit organization pursuing a radically improved approach to open-access academic research and collaboration.

Consulting on the UX research and service design approach to create an open-access academic research collaboration platform featuring associated workflows:

Alongside cogweave’s founder and principal, I’ve been operationalizing their vision into actionable research and design work packages, as well as conducting formative research, feasibility assessments, and troubleshooting along the way.

  • Defining research goals, drafting screener questionnaires, planning and facilitating research activities, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting findings, advising on subsequent priorities
  • Project roadmap and backlog management (e.g. planning the order of operations across functional teams and releases), issue reporting
  • UX and service design team leadership, task delegation, feedback, mentoring, job interviewing
  • Providing direction to implement the required future app telemetry to track events, generate logs, utilize metrics for app improvement and broader project goals
